International Certification Levels
Pursuant to Royal Institution’s mandate to conduct training, development, assessment, evaluation, accreditation worldwide and issue appropriate certification, the following Guidelines are formulated as duly approved by the RI Board of Directors:
International Qualification Standards
International Certification Level I
- The candidate / applicant / recommendee must have attained the necessary knowledge and skills that are manual, practical and/or operational in his/her field/area of expertise;
- He/She must be a holder of NC II; or he/she must have at least three (3) years of work experience and holder of NC I or its equivalent.
International Certification Level II
- The candidate / applicant / recommendee must have attained the necessary knowledge and skills that are a balance of theoretical and/or technical and practical. His/Her work involves understanding the job process, contributing to problem solving, and making decisions to determine the process, equipment and materials to be used in his/her field/area of expertise.
- He/She must have at least five (5) years of work experience and a holder of NC III or its equivalent.
International Certification Level III
- The candidate / applicant / recommendee must have attained the necessary knowledge and skills that are mainly theoretical and/ or abstract with significant depth in his/her field/area of expertise; contributing to technical solutions of a non-routine or contingency nature; evaluation and analysis of current practices and the development of new guidelines and procedures.
- He/She must have at least seven (7) years of work experience with supervisory level and a holder of NC IV or its equivalent.
International Certification Level IV
- The candidate / applicant / recommendee must have attained the necessary knowledge and skills that are mainly theoretical and/or abstract with significant depth in other discipline/s with wide-ranging specialised technical creative and conceptual skills in his/ her field/area/s of expertise. He/She can perform work activities demonstrating breadth, depth and complexity in the planning and initiation of alternative/s approaches to skills and knowledge applications across a broad range of technical and/or management requirements evaluation and coordination.
- He/She must have at least ten (10) years of work experience with managerial level and at least a Bachelor’s degree holder or its equivalent
International Certification Level V
- The candidate/ applicant/ recommendee must have demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and skills in his/her respective field of specializations and work experiences in professional/ creative work, innovations, and lifelong/ perpetual learning.
- He/She must have at least twelve (12) years of work experience in top managerial level and at least a Master’s degree holder or its equivalent.
International Certification Level VI
- The candidate / applicant / recommendee must have demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in a specialised and/ or multi-disciplinary field or professional work experiences / practice, creative work, self-directed research, and lifelong / perpetual learning.
- He/She must have at least fifteen (15) years of professional practice or work experience as top executive / consultant and at least a Master’s degree holder or its equivalent.
International Certification Level VII
- The candidate / applicant / recommendee must have demonstrated highly advanced systematic knowledge and skills in a highly specialised and/or comprehensive multi-disciplinary field of endeavor for complex research, creative work and/or professional practice and leadership for the advancement of learning and development of innovations.
- He/She must have at least eighteen (18) years of professional practice or work experiences as top executive / consultant and at least a Doctorate degree holder or its equivalent.
International Certification Level VIII
- The candidate/applicant/recommendee must have demonstrated the most advanced, specialized level of knowledge at the frontier of a field of discipline and involved in highly specialized and/or comprehensive multidisciplinary field of endeavor for independent and original thinking and research involving the development and testing of new theories and new solutions to resolve/solve complex, abstract issues, resulting in the creation of new knowledge or practice.
- He/She must have at least 25 years of professional practice or work experience as top executive/ consultant and at least a Doctorate degree holder or its equivalent.
International Certification Level IX
- The candidate/applicant recommended must have successfully attained the most advanced knowledge, skills and processes in a highly specialized multi-disciplinary fields for complex research, develop original and creative responses to problems and issues in the context of new conditions and challenges, in education, business and industry, public administration and health services.
- He/she manages a diversified conglomerate of businesses.
- He/she can demonstrate and perform effective leadership in solving comprehensive problems, with highest degree of accountability and responsibility for this actions, with ethical standard of excellence.
- He/She must have at least 25 years of professional practice or work experience as top executive/ consultant and at least a Doctorate degree holder or its equivalent.
International Certification Requirements
- Letter of Recommendation from RI AEIO Presidents or his/her authorised representative or application letter
- Duly signed personal portfolio / Curriculum Vitae
- Passport size colour photo with white background
- Copy of National Certificate I, II, III, IV / Documents:
